Local artists Ravyn Lenae and Knox Fortune to perform at A&O's Chicago Benefit

She’s toured with SZA and Chicago Benefit alumna Noname. He’s worked with Chance the Rapper and Ball surprise guest Joey Purp.

If you don’t already, you’re going to want to know Chicago artists Ravyn Lenae and Knox Fortune, who A&O Productions bring to the second-annual Chicago Benefit show.

Neo-soul singer Lenae released her third extended play, Crush, today. It was produced by Steve Lacy of The Internet, who is also featured on two of the tracks. Knox Fortune, a producer and singer born as Kevin Rhomberg, released his debut album, Paradise, last year. He was featured on Chance the Rapper’s hit single “All Night,” off Coloring Book.

The show takes place at SPACE in Evanston on Feb. 15. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m., with Knox Fortune opening and Lenae headlining. Tickets are $10 through the Norris Box Office, with a suggested additional donation of $5. Proceeds benefit Northwestern AMPED, a group allowing young men at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center to work with NU students and compose hip-hop music.

This is the second year A&O has put on its Chicago Benefit in Winter Quarter. (It was formerly A&O Benefit in Spring Quarter.) The show aims to spotlight local artists while raising money for an NU student group that works to better the Chicago community.
